~Sincere Pianism That Unleashes the Passion Embodied in the Works~
Romantic melodies are imprinted with memories that have settled deep within the composers’ souls. Chopin’s indigenous polonaises, which he elevated to universal artistry in the foreign land of Paris. Mussorgsky’s exploration of the depths of the human psyche, carved out through his unique compositional style. These masterpieces already contain overwhelming intensity and drama within them.
How can this immense energy be made to resonate in a contemporary setting? Junichi Ito’s approach is one of utmost sincerity. Rather than imposing his own interpretation excessively, he stays as closely attuned as possible to the work’s intricate structure. It is precisely his approach—capturing the composer’s intent as expressed in the score without distortion and constructing the sound through precise keystrokes—that unleashes the passion inherent in the music itself in its purest form on stage.
Through his performance, in which he masterfully commands the rich resonance of the Bösendorfer, the true passion that these three masters imbued in their notes is sure to come vividly to life. Please enjoy the “pure and intense essence of music” brought forth by the performer’s sincere gaze.
